About the Book

Cats are wonderful as we all know, with a most interesting historical background. They are great pets and intelligent friends and also excellent entertainers!

William Gregg portrays them in a tremendously exuberant way with humor. The eyes say so much, and Gregg captures cats expressing life.

The portrayal of cats in a civilized fashion, particularly with a San Francisco and Napa Valley winery backgrounds is just wonderful.

About the Author

Mr. Gregg has specialized in cat painting since the mid-90’s. The subject of his early paintings depict real cats. The subsequent works of art are satirical studies of cats in human situations. The originals are painted using acrylics, watercolor, ink and pastel. His inspirations are his two cats, one a tabby named Beezy, and a Flame Point named Max. Mr. Gregg began painting cats on landscapes and nautical backgrounds. Of course, these landscapes nautical backdrops are of his earlier work, and the cats have cleverly become the subjects in these pictures that follow. He aspires to make people feel happy and his universal appeal catches the attention of adults and children alike. I’m sure you will agree that his quiet sense of humor is very charming on canvas.
