About the Author
Gordon Williamson graduated from Pensacola High School in 1945, joined the Navy in 1946 and enrolled in the University of Miami in 1949. Upon earning his BBA in 1951, he joined IBM and spent 35 years in marketing, corporate and management positions. This included residing 3 years in Tokyo and 4 ½ years in Paris. Key positions were Area Manager, Asia/Pacific Area; Vice President IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa; Vice President, IBM General Business Group/International and President of IBM World Trade Americas/Far East Corporation. Retiring in 1986, Gordon and his wife, Linda, have homes in Florida and New Jersey.
