About the Book

The one hundred years that Helga Augusta Elizabeth Pedersen Tingey lived are probably the most remarkable in the world’s history. She had seen civilization go from ox cart to space shuttle, from mail delivered on horseback to transmission by world-wide satellite, from home remedies to organ transplants, smart bacteria that produce complex human hormones, nano technology as well as the nuclear age for good or evil. She witnessed two world wars and the many conflicts that followed and the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. This is a remarkable story of a girl born on a farm in Denmark, who learned to read by reading the Book of Mormon and subsequently edited the later publication of the Book of Mormon as an adult. She remained devoutly faithful to the testimony of the divine origin of this sacred record.
