About the Author

Dan Helix was born and raised in Northern California. His experience includes professional tennis player; as a U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer serving overseas in Germany during the Cold War; as a commercial real estate broker and owner of a firm for many years; and as the Senior Pastor of Awakenings Christian Church, in Concord, California. Dr. Helix received his Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California (Moraga, CA), his Master of Arts and Doctorate of Ministry from Dayspring University and Seminary, concentration in Spiritual Formation. He is a Board Certified Christian Counselor through the International Board of Christian Counselors, and sits on the executive boards of several non-profit corporations. Dr. Helix is a Brigadier General in the United States Volunteers – America, as the Assistant Commanding General for Final Military Honors, which provide Honors at National Cemeteries across the country, honoring the service of our veterans.
