About the Book

Coppola’s writing is delicious. His thinking is vigorous. He is an authentic artist-intellectual and on the verge of creating a wonderful new approach in the field of philosophy and theology both. His philosophical writing is a new conversation, beyond postmodern, about a human spirituality based on existence alone, and the possibilities of theology (“God-Talk”) coming out of that. The study he produces on the profound issues of “presence” and a grounded-minimal certainty, including the study’s implications for a contemporary spirituality that is both secular and sacred, is truly remarkable. Coppola is able plausibly, engagingly, and successfully to combine his two voices as an artist and as a philosopher, with an addition of philosophical theologian, and in the process lead into this wonderful new approach in the field of philosophy and theology both which is truly important to our contemporary dialogue and which it so much needs.

About the Author

“The author is an invisible point from which the book comes,” is all the author would like to say about himself with regards to the book. However, his vita shows that Mr. Coppola was trained in philosophy, theology, literature, and film and has four degrees, two advanced philosophy degrees, one advanced fine arts degree in film, and an AB in literature. He teaches philosophy, comparative religion, and cinema, and is a member of the Writers Guild of America and BMI.
