True beauty comes from inside and is that of kindness and willingness to give to those in need. The Princess realizes that helping others is her calling and dedicates herself to reaching out to those less fortunate.

About the Author

Maria Khaled and her daughters’ , Nadia and Sarah Khaled, all enjoy reading great children’s books. Maria is a teacher and nutritionist who loves to write, swim, workout and have some genuine fun with her family and friends. Nadia, who is 7 years old, is the little artist who created the images for The Princess and The Poor. Her younger sister Sarah, who is 5 years old, helped color them. Both Nadia and Sarah have great imaginations and helped tremendously with the writing of the story. Nadia enjoys singing, art, swimming, ice-skating and soccer. Sarah enjoys dancing, art, swimming, ice-skating and soccer. They both love all of the princesses and are truly little princesses in their mom and dad’s eyes.
