Summary of book:
My Special Reading Teacher (As Told by Sadie and Sara Jane)
By Charlotte Kay Hill
Sadie is a second grade student who was unable to read as well as her friends. For two years she attended a Special Reading Class for one half hour a day where a Reading Teacher helped her learn how to read.
Once Sadie had mastered the second grade reading skills she “graduated” from Special Reading Class, and no longer needed to go to the extra class on a daily basis. She was very proud, but realized that she was going to miss the close relationship she had established with her reading teacher.
Sadie’s mother, Sara Jane, was so grateful for the extra help that had been given to her daughter that she wrote a very kind thank you letter to Sadie’s Special Reading Teacher.
This true story is a result of that letter, it lets other young students know that there is always hope to be able to learn a new skill if one works hard and long enough.
