About the Book

Shaun the Pear is about a green pear named Shaun who dreams of becoming a father pear. In order to become a father pear. Shaun must go through the chemical change of decay. With the help of Amy the Grape and many other fruit, Shaun the Pear grows closer to his dream.

About the Author

My name is Rachel Jane Mackrell. I wrote Shaun the Pear to tell a fun story while educating children about chemical reactions. The inspiration for Shaun the Pear is my older brother Shaun. He is married to Amy, and they have two children, Ella and Aubrie. When I wrote this book I had just become Ella’s Godmother. Aubrie was born after the book was written. I love them both dearly.
