" I'm a Christian, raised Roman Catholic by very liberal parents, and I absolutely loved this book! Imagine if scrolls written in Jesus' own humble words and his very Jewish perceptions of that era were suddenly uncovered and translated in our ""modern"" times? ""The Heretic's Gospel"" is an absolute treat for historical, religious, and even non-religious readers. This gifted author paints such colorful scenery and very human conversations and observations with his words and historical knowledge that I could easily imagine that I was there, seeing, listening, and experiencing the events and miracles of long ago as described by a very unpretentious Jesus himself in retrospect. Now, I realize this is a book of fiction, but I personally found my own joy, love, and faith in God renewed as I read this book--you of course may have a different experience. Nonetheless, it is a book worth reading, and I can't wait to read Book 2 as soon as it is published! Also, the e-book price rocks! "
