About the Book
Joey Martin had always lived on the edge. Part of his spirit would have it no other way, but he tried to create something good in his life. Diana had helped show him another way and find, within himself, that good and honorable side of his nature. For most of his life, Joey had struggled with the inner demons of his past. For a little while, however, Diana and their beautiful little girl Natalie had given his life meaning. Where once he had known only cynicism and darkness, they became his life and the light by which he was guided. For a little while, he had known happiness and a contentment that for so long eluded him. In another place and time it might have all lasted, had not circumstances beyond his control or knowledge, plunged him deep into a dark abyss of Mob and FBI intrigue. Once again, Joey would find himself in the shadows of a past existence; a seemingly ordinary man caught up in an extraordinary challenge and away from the love, and the light, and the life on his Treasured Islands.
