About the Book
Olga the Opulent Ostrich is a story that portrays life that is filled with the luxuries of the world in contrast to a life that finds fulfillment from the simple pleasures of sharing her life with her children. It is a story that will warm the hearts of children, and of parents, as well.
About the Author
The author is a longtime resident of Smithtown, NY, where Marguerite and her husband George own a dollhouse business. Because of the nature of this business, her young customers are a constant source of inspiration for her to write children’s stories. She believes that the secret of staying young in spirit is to experience life through the eyes and minds of children, and how they delight in new ideas and experiences. Marguerite is a member of several writers’ groups, and her hobbies are reading, writing, watercolor painting, and crocheting. For Halloween she crocheted pumpkin hats for children – and for cats and dogs, too! This is her fourth children’s book and there are many more waiting to come to life in print.
