About the Book

This novel is a passionate, intimate journey into a classical world of intrigue and courage. It explores the desolation and beauty that encompassed human life in the nations of the Near East and Africa during sixth century BC. It expresses glimpses of harmony among the peoples that created alliances and possibilities for new life in distant lands. The hero, Sundele, is caught up in the clashes of empires that are full of blood-thirsty, loathsome endeavors who prevailed to extend their challenging powers. The novel is a bold, exciting saga of a proud, flamboyant, courageous prince who rises above the thundering turbulence of international conflicts in search of his “love woman,” Quinoxa. He searches far and wide for ten years, engaging in struggles and mind-bending horrors on battlefields that force him to wonder about and envision a more beautiful world, one that is enwrapped in peace and human kindness. When he found his beautiful Quinoxa, he journeyed to that world of peace and comfort in the Americas and became a dedicated leader of a people called the Olmec.

About the Author

K. G. Bell—playwright, educationist, poet, historian, and US Army Paratrooper—grew up in the artistic world of the Caribbean and, since boyhood, was a part of the pageantry and artistry of Trinidad’s Carnival. His soul was inspired by the richness of the many festivals of the Caribbean. Other festivals around the world with their exotic stories and costumes presented the stage for his grand stories. Mr. Bell is a world traveler who views the peoples of the world as one rich, exciting mass of humankind. The world is rich in history, fantasy, and drama on the grandest scale, from which Mr. Bell draws the inspiration to develop the characters and scenes to challenge the imaginations of audiences and readers with his stories. His inventive ability forces us to view the journey of life in a new light, affected by all the changes of modern society. He strives to show similarities between the classical period and modern times. In this epic novel, Mr. Bell attempts to show that there comes a time when humankind peeps, through the windows of hope, find the light when fair nature rises up to stand with us to unloose her powerful beauty and design the rhythms of our destiny.
