This book is about one man’s personal journey in dealing with pain over different periods of his life. It is a personal journey that deals with living with chronic pain and the effects that it has on one’s life. The aim of the book is to provide readers who are suffering in such a state with a story that will hopefully resonate with them. For readers who do not live in such a condition, it may provide some insights into the lives of others who do and support for the partners of people who suffer chronic, long-term pain. The book introduces some different aspects of dealing with pain, such as “What is pain?” and “The silence of pain.” It also deals with the process of procuring medical assistance in dealing with pain. Let it be an inspiration to those who are suffering in such a condition.
About the Author
Peter Moore is a successful businessman, corporate consultant, aviator, academic, and now author. He has started, built, and sold three successful businesses in his career in the field of marketing, information technology, and corporate risk management consulting. He flew light aircraft for fifteen years, owned his own aeroplane, and obtained his commercial pilots licence. Peter obtained degrees in science and business management and lectured part-time in the field of risk management at the masters of business administration level at university both in his hometown, Perth, Western Australia, as well as in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. He is now retired and has completed his second book, “The Extraordinary Life of an Ordinary Bloke,” and has commenced his third book, “Risk Management—Why it Doesn’t Work and How to Make it Work.” Peter lives in Perth, Western Australia, is married, and has two adult children who are achieving success in their lives.
