About the Book
My Taiwan, Seoul and Guadalajara (Mexico) Memoirs are a combined work of three separate memoirs. The first deals with his life in Taiwan, and his experiences there during an important part of the nation’s history. The second deals with the author’s experiences and that of his Korean wife’s family history with the city of Seoul. The third memoir is based on reports Mr. Nardini made on Guadalajara during his assignments for the newspaper Lawndale News.
About the Author
Daniel Nardini was born in Bloomington, Illinois, and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. He graduated from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, with a bachelors in anthropology and history, and he graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb with a masters in European and Asian history. Mr. Nardini lived in Taiwan from 1990-1994, and visited Taiwan in 1996 and 2000. He also lived in South Korea from 1996-1997, and traveled back and forth to South Korea for the next ten years. He has written for Lawndale News, based in Cicero, Illinois, for over 20 years. Married to a Korean lady, Jade, they both currently live in Chadwick, Illinois.
