Corky Tails Tales of a Tailless Dog Named Sagebrush

The story itself is light-hearted, friendly, and full of love, making the audience care about the characters and actively root for each and every one of them (except, perhaps, for the briefly seen loggers). Whether the young audience targeted by this book are lovers of animals or the great outdoors, the strong writing and lovable characters combine with the cute and vibrant illustrations to create a story that won’t be soon forgotten by those who read it.       

Combining the storybook Sagebrush with the real dog will imprint a pathway in children’s minds taking them from the real world into the imagination of an enjoyable fairy tale – even if the protagonist doesn’t have a tail of her own to wag.  A beautifully illustrated enjoyable book, I hope to see more adventures of Sagebrush to come in future Corky Tails.

Budding ecologists are likely to press this issue in conversations with parents or teachers: why can’t something be done to save the forest? Why wouldn’t humans want to replant the trees?
