About the Book

This book is about students transitioning from one learning environment to another. My granddaughter is leaving day care and is going to preschool. She gets on her bus and sits by her best friend. She goes into her classroom and, to her surprise, sees her best friend. She likes her teacher and assistant teacher. These are some skills and activities added to this book that she is expected to learn when she enters into a school with a multicultural learning environment. Children can learn as they read alone, read with parents and teachers. -Days of the Week -Sight Words -Colors -Numbers 0-20 -Shapes Repeating vocabulary encourages success in student achievement and brings a brighter future. Reading helps build confidence and ensure high levels of learning and engagement for all students.

About the Author

My five daughters made me realize my career as an educator. When they started school, I wanted to attend with them. After realizing I could not go, I majored in Early Childhood Education. I attended Jones County Junior College where I earned my Associate Degree. I furthered my education at Jackson State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree. Later, I attended Belhaven University’s in an Alternative -Route Program. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I was a member of the AmeriCorps Reading Program for 2 years, District President for the American Legion Auxiliary and I was a leader for the JAG Mentoring Program. All praises and honor goes to God. I believe it is important to educate student’s minds in a positive way. I believe learning should be fun. I have a passion for educating and creating ways to help children learn in extraordinary ways.
