Last Night a Pen and Paper Saved My Life is a compilation of poems that is comprised of several poems written during my adolescence, which provides insight into challenging issues that I grappled with as a youth: abandonment, loneliness, and worthlessness. The poems transition from poems that I wrote in my youth to poems written in my adulthood, demonstrating my struggles and growth as a woman and a poet.
