About the Author
De Etta Miller was raised in Bloomington, Minnesota in the 1950’s. One of six children raised in poverty and challenging circumstances. It would be her childhood that would act as the catalyst to a writing career centered around messages of social and familial kindness. With the support of her husband and three children, De Etta pursued a college education and graduated at fifty-five years old with an Associate of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree. It was in academia that she found “her voice,” and used it to share the power of the written word, particularly for the lives of children. Illustrator Zander North and Author De Etta Miller have collaborated on two children’s books. The first book “Sandy’s Clam-tastic Adventure,” was published in “2010” when Zander was eleven years old. The most recent, “Ted and Ned: Friends by the Foot!” a decade later. Zander continues to be a prolific professional artist, expanding on his craft. A life of collaborations with the talented Zander has been the Author’s joy, as his proud Grandmother.
