Chapter 1 enter the academy Principle D I Jason Ellis is a professor at the academy for criminology. He works alongside local law enforcement agencies to recruit and train officers and officials to be outstanding in their field of work. Principle D I Jason Ellis arrives for work alongside his partner detective constable Derek Walsh. They exit the four-door hatchback and walk towards the academy. Outside of the academy, it is daytime and many students are walking backwards and forwards from the entrance either exiting or entering the academy. Principle D I Jason Ellis walks into the red-walled oak pinned interior inlay room of the chief principal's officeinside the academy. Professor Derek Walsh is an ex-army and special forces commander and an expert in the special forces and also in combat. Jason enters his room where Derek is standing by a window looking out on all the candidates arriving. Jason sits behind a desk that is stacked full of files and paperwork. Derek turns to Jason and says “we have a record amount of candidates attending this year and all of them are suspected criminals, ex-juveniles and accused criminals reminds me of somebody”. Jason responds to Derek saying “we need to step up our game. We have had our credit streams expand by 200 per cent this year alone and we have only been in business five years. Derek says “not only that but the criminology academy of teachers sent me this letter that I am holding in my hand stating we need to house all our new students in suitable accommodation adjacent to the academy. Any bright ideas”. Jason looks down at his phone and flits through his contacts. He waves his phone in the air saying “here’s one”. He gives the phone to Derek and Derek says. “Let us call her”. Jason says “you call her I got a class to teach”. Derek asks “what’s your class about this morning”. Jason tells him “it is about the difference between power and authority”.
