About the Author

I have worked in an elementary school setting for over thirty years. I was the administrative assistant to six different school principals. I loved working with each of them. I also interacted with the teaching staff, support staff, students, and parents. Retiring was a difficult decision for me because I loved going to work each and every day. However, for years I have wanted to have my manuscript, about Eli Elephant, made into a children’s book. Retirement,, gave me the time to pursue my writing goal. I am happy that goal has been accomplished. I also felt the need for a “pen name” which would be easy to pronounce and easy to remember. I chose Joan E. Frances. Signed: Joan E. Gochinas
