Monica opened her sketch pad, and wielding her magical pen, She slowly sketched out a ship under sail with a motley assortment of men. As she filled in details and completed her picture, she felt that her bed was in motion. And looking around, she discovered herself on a ship under sail in the ocean. The ship was the Sea Horse, the ship she had drawn; the feeling she had was real weird, And glaring at her was the man she had drawn with a heavy black shovel-shaped beard.

About the Author
Kenneth Royston is a native of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Following graduation from Northwestern State College and a stint in the Navy during the Korean War, he settled in Houma, Louisiana. He taught English in the public schools in Terrebonne Parish for thirty-five years. He has been married to the former Mary Gandy for fifty-six years.
