About the Author

Author of the kidz-fiz-biz series of music and movement books, Marlene also writes fiction for children. The inspiration for Batty Wings came from a joke she played on her grandchildren who loved the notion of their Nanna flying around the room using her ‘Batty Wings’. Marlene lives in Perth with her husband and ginger cat, Simba. She has three children and five grandchildren and calls herself a grammar nerd.
