About the Book

My main aim here is in fact to encourage teenagers and young adults to Read, Write and Learn a wide variety of things which hopefully will help them a lot further along in life. The fi fteen ( 15 ) Short Stories are completely different, but all have a strong positive Hidden meaning in order to help those struggling a little in life, for whatever reason. But however it is also to give any student/reader ( no matter what their background is ) various concepts to really think about, and improve on, if they are lacking in one area or another. This book shows that an average person if they are willing to adopt the Three main phrases contained within this particular Shield being -: 1/ Fully Focussed 2/ Positive Thinking and 3/ Room For Improvement - That anything can become quite possible to achieve None of us are perfect, but if we are willing to try certain things, they can often fall our way and pleasantly surprise us sometimes. Most importantly however, I hope that all those who read the book get some real enjoyment and satisfaction from it, because personally I have thoroughly enjoyed writing this fi rst series of Short Stories.

About the Author

I was born Geoffrey Michael Daniel on the 29th of March 1969 (Aries for those into Star Signs) in Perth, Western Australia. In 1991 at the age of twenty two, I coached a Dudley Park Under Sixteens football side. It was here where I gained some good experience dealing with teenagers, but also got a lot of satisfaction from seeing the various improvements made by them along the way. My mother’s name is Mary Emily Daniel, and father who passed away in 2005 at the age of fi fty six from Motor Neurone Disease- Brian James Daniel. Brian was an English Teacher all his working life, who tried to improve almost any student while under his care. This is something I like doing, although never having been a school teacher myself. As a child we moved fairly regularly from one ( GEHA) Government house to another around the state of Western Australia, which I have to say didn’t like that much. My hobby and almost obsession at the time was playing Australian Rules Football ( Aussie Rules ) of which I started off quite averagely but with time and plenty of hard work, become quite good and continued to play until a young adult. I completed Year Twelve, but due to not taking it all that seriously unfortunately, just passed, which I have to say has helped in some instances along the line. During my adult life I have done a variety of different jobs and have enjoyed meeting many different people. However, I have spent most of my working life in the Mining Industry processing Base Metals like Gold, Nickel and so on. After my Marriage collapse a number of years ago and leaving almost everything to my ex-wife and two boy’s ( Ryan 12 and Thomas 9 ) now, I continue to see them down in Bunbury on a regular basis since leaving them. I now live here in Mandurah where I have spent the majority of my life. Having worked at the Mandurah City Council for a few years repairing roads, I fi nd I enjoy the lifestyle it has to offer. Obviously though, writing is now my biggest passion and has been since both the split up and father dying( even though I wasn’t really close to him). So hopefully people reading this series will enjoy what I bring to them now.
