About the Book

As a spirit trainee Amy has little to complain about.  She no longer gets sick or goes to the dentist or has splinters removed.  She doesn't sweat or shiver.  She gets everything she needs and most of what she wants just by wishing.  Three caramel sundaes for breakfast?  No problem.  No scolding.  She can take on any of three forms depending on how fast she wants to move and whether she wants to, say, go through a tree or build a tree house.

Every May eighteenth she moves in with a live girl whose birth date is the same as hers - a different girl each year. This is the tale of her stay with Mandy.  Together they survive a wilderness crisis, solve a dognapping, discover the difference between being a spirit trainee and a full-fledged spirit, teach a schnauzer some remarkable tricks and find what could prove to be an exceptional ruby.

About the Author

Bill Clark, father of six, grandfather of fifteen, lives in Texas with his wife of 58+ years. All his early publications were non-fiction. Only in retirement from a career in the chemical industry has he found time to write fiction. THE SPIRIT OF AMY is his first book-length novel.
