About the Book
Price Norowitz, a machinery salesman at a branch office, through luck and through guile, becomes the CEO of the whole Machinery Man Corporation, a lucrative enterprise but one built on deceit. Price marries Manny's (the hated owner) daughter, Elena, and subsequently brings about Manny's death. Meantime, Price has brought sexy Mindie--"his woman"--along with him, installed her as Franchise Director at the corporation. Price, in order to marry Mindie and own the business, engineers Elena's murder. He and Mindie, now married to each other, end up wealthy--money, property, status. Unknown to Price, however, Mindie's ex-husband, Teddy, re-appears, reminds Mindie of their plan to share in fleecing Price. They discover Price has taken over Manny's former teen-age mistress, Nita, in Ensenada. It is there that Teddy blows Price away--with Mindie's knowledge--so that he and Mindie can share the spoils. But Mindie surreptitiously informs the Mexican police about Teddy, who is arrested as he tries to leave Mexico. Apparently coming to his aid, she hires a crooked lawyer to defend him...but in reality to make sure he is convicted. Mindie ends up a millionairess, the sole owner of the booming corporation, has out-witted them all and has it all. She is the new Machinery Man.
