About the Author

Daniel D. Staats was born in 1954 to Christian parents. They taught him that being a Christian was not just about being saved from hell, but was seen by a life of service to others. He learned to help those in need at a young age. Since he became an adult, he has dedicated his life to being a man of the Word, a man of prayer, and a man who lives for others. He married the former Shelia Rollins on April 29, 1978. They have two grown children—Matthew and Rebekah. He is an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and has earned a BS, BRE, MA, MRE, and a MDiv.
