About the Book
Trouble!
Until John Rush rescued Victoria Summerville, the daughter of an English aristocrat, from renegade Indians, the veteran of Civil War battles, did not realize how much trouble one woman could get him into.
Sent by his government to try and recover a shipment of stolen rifles, circumstances force Rush to take Victoria with him on a journey that will take them from the western shores of Lake Superior to the Rocky Mountains. In constant conflict with the vastness of the country they must cross, hostile Indians, the weather and with each other, Rush and Victoria must learn to rely on each other if they are to survive their journey.
