About the Book

William Francis Kennedy, nom de plume Bill Eley, was born in New York City of Newfoundland immigrants. At age 17, he went looking for adventure in the Regular Air Force at Manchester, New Hampshire, later serving in Yongdongpo-Ku, Korea for thirteen months of the Cold War. In 1958, his poem “Life and Eternity” was published in California for a National High School Anthology. The newspaper, The Korean Republic, acknowledged his poem “Korea in My Eyes” in 1960. His first short story, “My days when, ou mes jours quand…” is a symbolic view of the turbulent Front de Liberation du Quebec era. His brief editorial comments to newspapers followed with more poetry as he evolved into a “kiss-and-tell” memoirist. Mr. Kennedy is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts and Bentley College Institute of Paralegal Studies. In February 1990, he was elected a member of The National Genealogical Society at Arlington, Virginia. In August 1997, Mr. Kennedy retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Technician program. In April 1998, he received a Congressional Proclamation from the United States House of Representatives for his “outstanding commitment of service to the general community”. In 2002, he was listed in Marquis 56th edition of Who’s Who in America.
