About the Book

Through the eyes of young Paul, we get to experience a trip to Manhattan from the pilot house of the Staten Island Ferry. It’s a special trip for Paul, who’s been invited by the Captain. He will get to pass his favorite ship, the grandest ocean liner of them all, the Queen Elizabeth 2 on her way out to sea. On board with Paul, young readers will learn facts about the Ferry itself, as well as the navigational and historical significance of New York Harbor.

"A Staten Island Ferry Tale" is part of The Noble Maritime Collection´s Traveling Library on Staten Island.
