Through the eyes of young Paul, we get to experience a trip to Manhattan from the pilot house of the Staten Island Ferry. It’s a special trip for Paul, who’s been invited by the Captain. He will get to pass his favorite ship, the grandest ocean liner of them all, the Queen Elizabeth 2 on her way out to sea. On board with Paul, young readers will learn facts about the Ferry itself, as well as the navigational and historical significance of New York Harbor.

About the Author
About the Author Catherine Avery St. Jean grew up on the Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa. She is the oldest of eight kids (six brothers). She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago before starting a career in advertising. St. Jean retired from Marcus St.Jean, an executive recruiting and management consulting firm in Manhattan for advertising and marketing. She has retired with the Captain of the Ferry and lives in St. Augustine. She is a lifetime member of the St. Augustine Art Association and a member of the St. Johns County Library Advisory Board. About the Illustrator Paul Frahm grew up in Portland, Oregon. He attended Stanford University and graduated from the University of Oregon, then studied at The Art Center School in California. He got his start in advertising in San Francisco because he could draw storyboards. His 40-year career took him to New York, Paris and back to New York, working at several major ad agencies and winning many awards as an Art Director, TV Producer and Film Director. Mr. Frahm now resides in Colorado.
