About the Book
“Panhandle Whirlwinds” is the fictional story of a Texas farm and ranch family and its struggles and development in the Panhandle of Texas. It traces the Reich family from the late 19th century and its experiences all the way to the late 1950’s. The book explores the various lifestyles and customs of the people in the Panhandle area and brings to the reader a unique insight into that particular culture.
About the Author
C. A. Rousser, a native of the Texas Panhandle, was born and raised on a farm between the cities of Amarillo and Lubbock. He was educated in a small Texas rural school system and went on to receive an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech and a graduate degree from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona. After a career of some eighteen years with the Port of Houston Authority and traveling throughout the United States and the world, Mr. Rousser went on to a second career in the maritime and real estate businesses in Houston, Texas and has been in private business for another eighteen years.
