About the Book
After the raid of Sherman's soldiers on Butler Place that belonged to the Ansleys, they proceeded to do similar damage to Scarlett's Tara, located only a few miles further down the road.
The huge pile of slave-made bricks that was once the parlor chimney is all that is left of the once graceful plantation home. The only exceptions are the moss covered large marble tombstones standing ever vigil on the crest of the hill where most of the Ansleys lie side-by-side with their slaves buried just over the now rusty ornate iron fence. On certain days it is said, one can even now hear echoes of the Negroes singing spirituals while working in the cotton fields of long ago at the homestead located a few miles from what is now downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
ONE PRECIOUS SUMMER
John Robert Ansley, Jr., scion of the vast Butler Place leaves the quiet confines of the Georgia estate and once again in quest of his numerous binges of pure raw sex and what ever the day or night presents to him. Nightfall finds him in a small Louisiana town drinking and hell-raising.
Later, he and his lady-of-the-night are kidnapped and taken to the homestead of the Cajuns in the hot vermin-infested boundaries of the bayou. Johnny and his companion are used for "breeding purposes" to put a new bloodline into the clan because the witch doctor said this was needed to survive. He finds himself a "prisoner" in paradise accommodating the many Cajun women; she the men.
