About the Book

In Miss Do You Know What? Quaker lawyer, Susan Thompson-Garcia, a widow now, volunteers at a small poor rural co-op and school. She has her work cut out for her in trying to teach the rambunctious students the Quaker belief that peaceful solutions can be found to all problems. Although she has some triumphs, the abuse of a preschooler brings Susan great sorrow. She manages, in her first month at the co-op, to alienate the sheriff, some clergy and the principal of the public high school. When, in all innocence, she helps start a volunteer police and fire department, Susan doesn't relize that she has put herself in great danger.
