About the Book

A Cross In Time is a collection of poems that have been written over a span of time from 1994 until the present. They are a reflection of events that have occurred in my life, from love to loss and the general outlook on life through the journey adolescents to become an adult. Some poems tackle world issues while others reveal a look into the souls of close friends. Some say poetry is away to clean your soul, others believe that it is the devil at hand. There are many ways to look at poetry and with every way there is a different grasped to anything read. As for myself, I do believe what you take and interpret from a poem is what is necessary and relevant to your life at that precise moment. Poetry is my form of a journal. It is a preservation of memories and feelings that over time have created a reflection of various moments in my life. For those who have been part of the inspiration, all do understand my reasons for expression. As many of you have at one time told me, it is not healthy to keep things bottled up inside, and it is for this reason I write. I would like to hope that you as a reader enjoy what is to come as much as I enjoyed writing it. I would also like to send my heartfelt thanks to those who have made this all possible by offering encouragement, inspiration, love, and support.

About the Author

I was raised in Val-David, a small town north of Montreal where I was born in 1980. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Specialization in Human Environment, Major in Political Science, Minor in Sociology with an elective in Marketing, which I obtained at Concordia University. I have been teaching preschool for 6 years, and when I find some free time, I enjoy writing. My inspiration in life comes from all aspects, and I believe what you take and interpret from a poem is what is necessary and relevant to your life at that precise moment.
