About the Author

As a native of Trinidad and Tobago, Karine has always been surrounded by a high standard and level of expectation from her culture and supportive family to pursue a quality education. This search for knowledge revealed to her that each child was not equally inspired to believe in their own potential to succeed. This encouraged her to be an influential educator and active social change agent in the contribution of achieving the goals and objectives of effective educational reform. As a lifelong learner Karine discovered that the experiences gained through her unique academic journey especially at Walden University, has reinforced in her that serving today’s youth is a very delicate blend of knowledge and love with recognition of individuality and acceptance of diversity. Karine considers the purpose of her natural existence is to assist all children in rising above their educational challenges through the attainment of individual learning targets. Through her books she hopes to empower and educate our diverse population of students on a global level, preparing them for civic leadership and participation in service learning.
