She was the youngest of 11 children. She attended Monticello A & M and transferred To the University of Arkansas where She met and married Willard Thomas They have two children, Malvin and Randal Plus two grandchildren, April and Jeremy Plus 6 great-grand children, Kayla, Alyssa, Grace Suzianna, Aiden and Kaylee. She completed her Bachelors Degree, Majoring in Elementary Education During her career of teaching, she taught Elementary children, grades 1-6, Middle school science High School English and Typing Her last 18 years were spent in the field of Guidance and Counseling both Elementary and Secondary students after receiving her Master's Degree from Texas A& I University, Kingsville, Texas Plus her Administration Degree from the University of Texas - Pan American Branch, Edinburg, Texas. Her desire to write children stories came from the love Her Great-Grandchildren had for reading. The desire to write the story, 'Rock a Belly Rock' Developed when she could no longer lose weight to Control her climbing pounds, age for normal exercises, and The continued need to add exercise to a failing diet program.
