NOW WITH OPEN EYES The title of this book declares a point in time when darkness and confusion ruled body and soul. The poems that fi ll the pages of this book reveal the various struggles and challenges that life requires after decisions are made. The many ups and downs that sometimes brings us happiness, sadness, or rage are sometimes determined by the roads we choose to follow in life. Eventually, we should mature to the point of sight for clarity, patience, and love for our fellow man.

About the Author

The pages of this book are filled with real life situations. These poems were at first the means of relieving bottled up frustrations. I found it easier to extract my exact feelings about the various emotions that I experienced when I write about it. Writing requires thoughts, thought requires time, and time requires patience. The contents of these pages tell the stories of one man’s life struggles from infancy to maturity, from ignorance to acknowledgement, from blindness to sight. I was the third born of a family of eight. I was born and raised in the streets of Los Angeles, California.
