About the Author
Mrs. Shirley M. Kuphal, author of Flavor’s Wild Wish, is a retired teacher of 30+ years. She recalls that upon retirement her co-workers asking what she planned to do during retirement. Her answer: “I’ve always wanted to write a children’s book.” So now here is her second book, which she hopes will bring smiles and enjoyment to all who read it. She believes that reading is very important to children’s development and future success, so she often donates books and she has given books for birthdays and special holidays for many years. She would like to challenge others to do the same. Besides writing, she fills her days enjoying her family (two children, four grandchildren, and husband), friends in Wisconsin and Texas (they winter in Texas), volunteering, reading, camping, and pursuing crafts and several hobbies. She currently makes her home with husband, Al, in the small city of Markesan, Wisconsin.
