About the Author

Thomas LeRoy Townsend II is a former member of the Louisiana Army National Guard, Company A, 1st Battalion, 156th Armor Division and former U.S. Navy Trident 1 Backfit Missile Technician having served aboard the submarine USS Casimir Pulaski (SSBN 633 Gold Crew). Having a MA in English with specialization in Writing and Linguistics, he is a published poet, amateur inventor and author. His works including E-portfolios: Uniting The Undergraduate Career, think pieces like “Our Elderly Concerns” and he worked briefly as the author of the Hall Summit News, in 1986 for the Coushatta Citizen Newspaper, Coushatta, Louisiana. Short stories include, “A Note of Tomorrow” and poetry includes “My Shining Rose” and “Perceptions” among other works published in the Argus magazine and the U.S. Army and Navy poetry collections. Information on systems and technology he has devised are on file through Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu and Congressman Jim McCrery’s offices, as well as with the Department of Transportation; Department of Defense, US Army—Tank Automotive and Armaments Command; Department of Homeland Security; and the Atomic Energy Commission among others. Some of these items are featured among the technology mentioned within this story. Thomas and his wife Hollie E. Townsend are also former Walt Disney World cast members and WDW College Program Alumni earning their Ducktorate Degrees during the program. With the approval of WDW LegaL and during his own time while participating in the College Program, Thomas submitted multiple proposals to Disney; thirty-seven in all, for new products, attractions and a whole new wedding pavilion in honor of his new bride. At that time and without restriction or other claim into perpetuity, these proposals were submitted free and without desire for compensation as gifts to Disney for the enjoyment of WDW Families everywhere. Thomas L. Townsend II currently lives in Atlanta, Texas with Hollie; the love of his life, where they continue to write and seek further work such as in their previous roles as movie extras in films like Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (formerly The Better Man,) Major Movie Star with Jessica Simpson, and Butter with Ty Burrell and Jennifer Garner. Thomas L. Townsend continues adding to his work in theory and designs.
