About the Author

Nelda Perez was raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She lived and survived a neurological depression that almost took her life after the diagnosis and death of her husband with AIDS. She began her journey to recovery after this dramatic event which led her to write her amazing story. Nélda Pérez fue criada en el Valle del Rio Grande. Vivía y sobrevivió una depresión neurológica que casi le quita la vida después del diagnosis y muerte de su esposo por el virus del SIDA. Ella comenzó su jornada hacia la recuperación después de este trágico evento que la llevó a escribir esta magnífica historia.
