Have you ever been bullied, molested, or told “You don’t have the sense you were born with,” “You are going out of the world backward,” “You are a knucklehead,” “You are mentally slow,” “You are too small to play a game,” “You are not strong enough,” “You are a quitter,” “You will never fi nish anything,” “People like you should not go to college,” “You are stupid,” “You were meant to be a laborer,” “You are ugly,” or “YOU WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO A HILL OF BEANS?” This autobiography of my life story is for all of the people who have been put-down or discouraged by family, friends, classmates, or society at large. I hope that it will help you to not give up on your hopes and dreams. May it strengthen your faith in God, yourself, and your fellowmen.

About the Author

Professor Bennett Edwards always wanted to be the renaissance man or the 4D man seeking competence in (1) physical and/ or athletic skills, (2) artistic expression, (3) knowledge and intellectual learning, and (4) serving God and attaining the wisdom, spirituality, and peace that lies therein. God is at the top of his list and he says everything else is all vanity. Despite being told that he was retarded and failing 2 grades, he has 4 degrees. And after being told he was too little, too slow, and bullied, he played professional football. He sang professionally and was a successful teacher, academic administrator and researcher. He has numerous published research articles. He taught Sunday school and he has witnessed in jails and prisons. Addiction to alcohol brought him to the gates of hell but, through Gods grace, mercy, and AA & NA, he is alive, well and has a story to tell.
