About the Book

In this new series called A Bird's Eye View of Virtues, Mr. Jay Learns to Share is the first book and is the story of a stormy relationship between a blue jay and a grackle. When faced with a life and death situation, the blue jay shows compassion in order to preserve life.

About the Author

E. Ann Moore is a middle school English teacher in the state of North Carolina. She teaches a creative writing elective each year in which she requires her students to write a children’s story. Her students challenged her to write one herself, and this is the result. Sophie A. Norman is an artist residing in the state of Florida. She is the mother of the author and, after much cajoling, agreed to illustrate this book. While much more involved than either envisioned, Sophie enjoyed bringing the characters to life. Both enjoy feeding and watching backyard birds. There are so many lessons to be learned from these beautifully feathered friends.
