About the Author

William J. Shannon is an international lawyer who was one of the first attorneys to be licensed as a foreign attorney (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi) in Japan. He resided and practiced law in Japan from the mid 1980's to early 1990's during a period that the Japanese now refer to as the "Bubble Economy", a period of great economic expansion followed by a sudden economic collapse. The author's experience in Japan as well as his prior experience as a U.S. intelligence agent in the U.S., Iceland and Scotland provided the background for this novel. Mr. Shannon now resides with his wife, a beagle and a golden retriever in Maine
