About the Author

Donna Marie Ferro is the granddaughter of immigrants from the Ligurian Region of Italy. She retired from education after nearly forty years of teaching, counseling, and serving as an administrator at the college level. Donna Marie has been an activist in bringing equal access in education to students with disabilities. Currently, she spends her time traveling. She says, “Italy inspires me. Come visit!
