About the Book
This story is based on a true event when I was watching my grandchildren and the two boxers got out of the fenced yard and went into the woods. They were missing for over 30 hours until they followed a trail of food and got back home.
About the Author
With a BS in English/Latin and a minor in History and an MA in English/American Literature from the University of Wisconsin, I am an Assistant Professor of English at Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida. I mainly teach courses in Technical Communication and have co-authored several books including Technical Writing for Private Industry and The Pictorial History of Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad 1966-1999. I also teach online classes including Technical Communication, Business & Professional Writing, and Western Civilization. I am a member of the Society of Technical Communication and a registered EMT. My husband, a retired Electrical Engineer, and I have two married children, both engineers, and three grandchildren. My outside interests include reading (history and biographies), listening to music, watching movies, traveling, and biking—and now writing stories for children.
