About the Book
Hollyanna is very excited as she leaves home to go to the ice cream shop with her mummy and daddy. She hurriedly buckles her favourite doll, Suziette, into the seat belt as her parents’ car leaves their home. Forgetting to buckle her own seat belt proves to be a big learning experience for Hollyanna as her parents’ car collides with another on the way to the shop. Hollyanna’s journey to the hospital through an ambulance and her complete recovery contains many interesting anecdotes and, most of all, a lesson in safety. It will be the last time Hollyanna forgets her seat belt!
About the Author
ROBERT FOORD lives in Adelaide, Australia, with his wife, Sheryn. They have five daughters who listened to “Dad’s stories” for years. After a long career in business, Robert has decided to publish some of the stories that gave so much joy to his children and him. “Dreaming up a story on the run was so much more fun than reading a book!” Robert often melded a useful life message for the girls into the fun stories. Hollyanna Learns to Wear Her Seatbelt is the story about the little girl who forgets to buckle up with dire consequences.
