Another word that has stuck with me since I have been at LIVING COVENANT CHURCH: “what you think today is what you will have tomorrow.” Hearing this statement from my pastor has transformed me even the more in my thinking. There was a time that I was not thinking the way God wanted me to think; I was what you would call a sometimie or double minded Christian: up believing one minute and doubting the next. I can truly say that God knows what you need when you need it. Since I have been at LIVING COVENANT CHURCH I have seen me grow in the spirit. Ask God to help you to do self checks to make sure that you are in his will and not your own will doing your thing; in doing your own thing, you will miss God every time.

About the Book
As a born-again believer examining himself/herself before the Lord, it is my desire to make sure that they are on the right path that leads to eternal life. One can be rest assured with that in praying a prayer that would cause them to look within themselves to see if they are of the faith. If you are in doubt, pray this prayer on a daily basis so that it would become a part of you. As I come before you, Lord, forgive me of all my sins, those that I know of and those that I don’t. Continue to create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. Most of all, God, please do not take your Holy Spirit from me but restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. Lord, if you take your Holy Spirit from me, I can’t live the way you desire me to live. If you take your Holy Spirit from me, I can’t love the way you desire me to love. If you take you Holy Spirit from me, I can’t forgive they way you want me to forgive. I ask all these things and then some that I can’t do without you abiding on the inside. Lord, thank you for restoring me to my rightful place in you and walking in your Word the way you ordained it from the foundation of the world. I give you all the praise and honor for having a mind to do what you are calling me to do in Jesus’s name. Amen!
About the Author
I am a single mother of four (three boys and one girl). I graduated from GCU with my bachelor’s degree in Christian studies. I have nine grandchildren. I have five brothers (Manalito, Will, Ferrrette, Jody, and Andy) and five sisters (Lashan [Spanky], Marquetta [Meka], Shannon [Willie] Stewart, Catherine [John] Thomas, and Susie Gary. I am from Ozark, Alabama, where I was born and raised. I was raised by my grandmother, Ora Dean Rivers. I am the oldest of all the grandchildren and the oldest sibling of my mom (Joyce Calhoun) and dad’s (Will Dawkins Jr.) children. I enjoy writing, swimming, reading, listening to music. I love being on Facebook, where I can talk with family and friends that are far away. I have worked as a crew member and manager in fast food chains and retail, substitute teacher, CNA, cashier, overnight stocker, breakfast host, housekeeper, and laundry person. A special thank you to my Hampton family (you know who you are). A big fat “I love you” to my children—Micheal (Eboni) Calhoun Campbell, Chris (Timiko) Calhoun, Thomas (Courtney), and Valissia Nicole (Mark) Craig; and a big fat “I love you” to all my other children (you know who you are).
