About the Author

Mark John Condon was born in 1958 in Ontonagon, Michigan, the son of Tom and Dorothy Condon. His father Tom, the son of John and Mary Condon, was raised in Hancock, Michigan, and his mother Dorothy, the daughter of Frank and Mary Domitrovich, was raised 50 miles away in Ontonagon, Michigan. No one can understand Mark without knowing about the core of his existence, the close-knit, resilient family he grew up in. Mark interacted more often with his mother’s side of the family, which is now more than ten times bigger than his father’s side of the family. Specifically, he spent a considerable part of his early life either doing anything and everything there was to do on his Grandpa Domitrovich’s farm or else in the woods under the supervision of his lumberjack uncles and with his cousins Jerry and Tom Domitrovich, who were the age of Mark and his brother Dan respectively
