About the Book

Little Weed and Spider Sam became friends at a time when chaos hit the pasture they were growing in. Little Weed was stung by Scorpion because he wanted to challenge Little Weed. This made Little Weed very angry. After Scorpion stung other bugs and weeds, he wanted to challenge Little Weed. So Spider Sam helped Little Weed make friends with the pasture’s weeds and bugs. When Little Weed won a sun battle challenge with Scorpion, the bugs decided she was brave, and they no longer wanted to challenge her but only wanted her to be happy so she could grow in the pasture.

About the Author

Elizabeth Lauren Owen is the author of Little Star Weed and Maris America. Her travels all over the southwest have given her a broad spectrum of what its like to be wild and free. She resides in Oklahoma and is most proud of living with her grandparents on the farm in Paul's Valley in the summers taking in the fun and pleasure of being among the wildest of creatures in the pasture. Her grandfather was a Central Intelligence Agent and she is admiring of spies like Spider Sam that exist all over our country keeping our pastures and our cities safe.
