Simbi Nyaima

About the Book

Simbi Nyaima means the "village which sunk" in dholuo. It is the name of a lake located in Kendu Bay, Kenya. The story presented in this book is based on a version of the local folklore on how the lake developed.

About the Author

Were Omange, PhD is a microbiologist, who has a passion for sharing and telling African folklore stories as a means of preserving African culture. He always like listening to stories and narratives of great encounters, and hopes to document these for future generations through the African Bedtime Stories Series.
