From Insist on Integrity Integrity First I define integrity as being true to my values … being and doing who and what I say I am and will do. But I have to acknowledge that being in integrity takes a level of confidence I haven’t always had. It takes confidence to walk away from what you believed you wanted when you realize what you wanted is not good for you. It takes confidence do what you know is best for yourself and your family when those you trust the most want you to do something else. It takes confidence to walk in your own truth when your truth appears to be leading you on an unexpected journey. I have compromised my integrity when I’ve been less than confident … when I haven’t trusted my knowing or when I’ve been afraid or when I’ve lied to myself. I’m in integrity when I’m being still enough to ascertain my next action and courageously doing what I’m convicted to do. Inhale Confidence, Exhale Compromise… Inhale Courage, Exhale Consensus… Inhale Conviction, Exhale Conformity… Just Breathe
